Client Experiences
Neal’s experience…
Neal Dilawrie is the CEO of software provider Affinity Management Ltd. Affinity developed a cloud-based planning tool for a large North American agricultural product provider that serves agricultural retailers and farmers.
The Challenge
In the process of developing and improving this software, both Neal and his client knew they needed to determine a few key factors:
- identify the software systems customers were currently using
- identify barriers to changing to a new system
- identify needs, in order to make the system work for target customers.
Our Approach
In order for Affinity to get a deeper look at the needs of the software’s end users, Strategic Fuel facilitated focus groups for Neal. We shared the findings and worked with his team to fine-tune the product features and clarify the value proposition of the solution. Additionally, we conducted a series of interviews with participants in a pilot program to understand their experience and identify further opportunities to improve the user experience.
The Result
Neal and his team have utilized the feedback we gathered to refine the software and customer experience.
In Neal’s Own Words
“Brent led the research and analysis of customer feedback.
A key highlight of working with Brent was that he speaks in plain English and communicates very well. So, in his review of the situation he explained it in words that someone could get their heads around. His communication skills and his ability to present in a logical, straight-forward manner ensure that the audience receives the information in a very positive manner.
Brent was a welcome addition to the team. If he hadn’t been involved, things would have moved along much slower. Also, his relationship with my client (they trust him), helped to accelerate things too.
Brent went beyond research…He brought suggestions as to how to make the product and positioning better, as well as the go-to market strategy.
Would I use him again or would I recommend him? Yeah, I would. I’m already talking to him about some other potential work that I’d like him to get involved with!”
